KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A wintery mix will hit the Kalamazoo County Monday.
Light snow late tonight Sunday night from north to south could create slick travel for the Monday morning commute.
A mix of sleet, snow, and freezing rain is expected south of I-96 Monday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Allegan, and Van Buren counties.
A changeover to all rain is expected as temperatures warm above freezing, with an afternoon high of 35 degrees.
The forecast for Christmas Eve Tuesday is for cloudy skies with a high of 36. There is a chance of rain overnight Tuesday into Christmas Day, with a high Wednesday of 37 degrees.
Warmer temperatures are on the way late in the week with highs in the 50s possible next weekend.
